  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Georgian winger's current deal with the Serie A side expires in 2027 and his representatives had recently met with club officials to discuss the terms of a new long-term contract. However, reports that those talks have stalled after a disagreement over the player's wages. Napoli reportedly offered €6 million (£5m) per season which is significantly less than Kvaratskhelia's demand of €8m (£6m). The player, though, could lower his demand if the club agree to keep his release clause under €100m (£83m).
